Lets explore scientific and Torah oriented Jewish perspectives on energy:
A few key points:
Energy is raw information in both physical and potential form. It is the essence of anything communicating something to us on every level. Like a metaphysical blueprint. That information tells a story of where we’ve been, where we are, and what we can become. It gives us information about pathways that propel us towards and also that could be blocking us from fulfilling our potential.
In modern physics, we understand all matter is a form of energy. Einstein pointed this out a long time ago when he wrote his matter–energy conversion formula, E = MC2 which shows that energy and matter are interchangeable. Therefore, energy is matter, and vice versa. The Tradditional Chinese Medicine worldview is qi monism, which can be understood as the theory of energy monism.
Above all, energy is a manifestation of G-d’s will. Everything is made up of energy, and there is no such thing as physical matter.
Energy is also potential—the potential for something to become something else that is greater, more positive, and hopeful (or the other way, G-d forbid). You and I can utilize this life force of energy to continue creating and enabling beautiful changes in our lives and the world around us.
At its core, energy is the life force of creation that Hashem infuses into the world for us to formulate and utilize as Co-Creators and partners in the universe. All healing is self-healing, which means the power to heal is already within us, waiting to be uncovered and shine forth.
Energy is not limited. It’s beyond time and space. It’s a field of information that Hashem infuses into the world. The process of energy work helps us know more about who we are.
